Today on twitter, I mentioned that one of my dream projects would be to make my own Magic the Gathering tokens. So for today’s warm up sketch, I did a quick doodle of what my angel token would look like. Magic has a bunch of angels with swords and spears and the like, but I always thought they’d make great archers. Anyways, this was done with almost no references so excuse any weird mistakes.

Can you explain what a tangent is?

This post sums it up pretty well… 

The ones I see most often are bump up and corner tangents. When doing line drawings it’s good to keep an eye out for them, but they can be easy to miss. It tends to be something I fix when doing a polished drawing as opposed to a quick piece.

- Nice! Gruul is fun for me too… Sometimes you can’t beat that Boros nut draw though. 

- Answering questions is easy! I really like interacting with people.

- Don’t be! Just know that I may not always be able to reply. In reality, I’m a normal dude, who’s just enjoying his 15 minutes of fame. :D

In today’s Stripsearch hangout we were talking about what birds each of us would be. After it was quickly decided that Monica would be a titmouse, Amy found pictures of a Tern. First… The tops of their heads are all black making it look like my hat. Second.. We found a pic of a tern with a little chick nuzzling it’s wing It was then that we decided the tern was for me, as I’m affectionately known as the Mom of the group. So… There ya go.
